alert.live — the website fan

One goal: the messaging + look-and-feel for an active alert.live landing site, projected (video → website) from the realtime.earth verbiage + its 5 videos. Five genuinely different landings for the same product — each carries the two messages differently. Play each ▶, answer beside it, recombine at the bottom.

◆ Early-adopter (visionary)

"Author the operating picture." realtime.earth's big idea — every camera, phone, sensor becomes one shared georeferenced picture; see first, share truth first.

▲ Value-buyer (pragmatist)

"End the first-three-hours blind spot." Reality capture from the people already on scene; faster, truer alerts; fits the contract you already have.
Grounding: note 01 · product + videos · note 02 · audience + two messages · method sketch-ux.

S1 · Author the operating picture — early-adopter / visionary

Leads with realtime.earth's vision: many cameras/phones/sensors assemble into one shared georeferenced picture you author live. Senate + partners videos.

al-s1 · Should the site lead with the visionary "author the operating picture" frame?

A yes — vision-first; it's the most ownable idea and rallies the early-adopter PIO/EM.
B second act — earn it after the pragmatic "first three hours" hook.
C only for the early-adopter audience view; value-buyers see the pragmatic lead.

S2 · End the first-three-hours blind spot — value-buyer / pragmatist

Leads with the concrete ROI/risk: you're blind for the first three hours of an ignition — not anymore. An ON/OFF value demo along a fire timeline. Maria/Adams/LNU videos.

al-s2 · Is "the first three hours" the hero hook for the value-buyer?

A yes — it's the sharpest, most defensible pain; lead every value-buyer view with it.
B strong, but pair it with the renewal/fits-your-contract angle for existing fire customers.
C the ON/OFF "with vs without" demo is the keeper regardless of the headline.

S3 · One site, two messages — the audience toggle

A visible Early-adopter ↔ Value-buyer toggle that re-skins the same hero (copy, accent, CTA, featured video). Foregrounds the "carry both" mechanism.

al-s3 · How should the site carry BOTH messages?

A an explicit audience toggle (this treatment) — let the visitor self-select.
B one scroll that opens visionary and lands pragmatist (no toggle).
C paired columns / two doors on the hero ("for agencies" vs "for your crews").
D route by audience: /pio and /fire landing variants off a shared spine.

S4 · This is alert.live — the product walkthrough

The landing IS a storyboard of the workflow: text alert → map link centered on you → open camera → georectify → annotate → private/group/public layer → 2D↔3D.

al-s4 · How literally should the landing show the product workflow?

A demo-first — walk the whole flow above the fold; the site is the product.
B outcome-first — lead with the operating picture / the payoff; keep the walkthrough lower.
C a short 3-beat teaser of the flow, full walkthrough on a /how-it-works page.

S5 · Community + responders — social-first / PIO

The shared picture as a social artifact across pre/during/post × community/responder; PIO turns georectified reality into public warnings people trust. Sharing-links, presence, layers.

al-s5 · Should the landing foreground the PIO/community social picture?

A yes — trust + shared truth is the PIO's job and our clearest social differentiator.
B as a section, not the lead — responders/crews carry the hero, community follows.
C the phase×role breadth is the story; keep it front and center.

Cross-cutting · which videos, and where

al-video · Which of the 5 realtime.earth videos are hero vs proof?

A Senate Wildland Fire Tech Expo — authority/credibility.
B 2019 Maria Fire (alert.live in the field) — the hero story.
C Adams Fire 2020 — fire-progression proof.
D Partners / interoperability — the ecosystem angle.
E 2020 LNU Lightning starts — investigation proof.

The recombination ballot

al-x · Which direction(s) should alert.live take? (recombinations welcome in notes — "S2's first-three-hours hook with S4's walkthrough body and S3's toggle" is a legal answer)

A S1 — vision-first, author the operating picture.
B S2 — value-first, end the first-three-hours blind spot.
C S3 — one site with an audience toggle.
D S4 — product-walkthrough landing.
E S5 — social-first / PIO community picture.
F ready to compose one alert.live prototype from the winning vector.
